I've been off the blogging scene for almost a year now and since then, i've almost forgotten how to do a blog post. I'm 34 years old and it was back in 2005 [10 years ago!] that I started blogging. My first blog was called Cocoon...anyone remember it? ....crickets... ;-p Well, after 3 years on that blog I accidentally deleted it while messing around with html...this is why you always back up your blog before doing anything...I learned the hard way, had an emotional breakdown that had me crying on and off for 3 months. The crying was over the fact that I had diligently documented so much of my life, my crafting, my diy-ing, my two yorkies!! and my early years living in NYC. It was the beginning of blogging and I had swapped my actually journal writing for digital writing. Anyways, after pulling myself together and figuring out a new blog name, I got back on the band wagon [my fav. wagon] and started blogging the nights and days away.

In a nutshell, I've neglected blogging this past year due to a neighbor we had back in Utah that started stalking me on and offline... nothing serious enough that I would call the cops on...but it was getting to a point where that may have been the next step. Luckily some of our other neighbors worked to get this man [in his 50's] kicked out of his Dad's house along with a restraining order for our block. So even though this guy had moved out of the neighborhood...blogging at the time had put a pit in my stomach and had made me even a little paranoid. With all that said and explained, i'm looking forward to sharing regular tidbits of my life on here again.

Last week I was in a real funk [I'll spare the details] and I posted about in on Instagram asking for anyone's movie favs. that help them get out of their funks... So many great movies were suggested, many of which are my absolute favs. many that I have forgotten about and a few that I've never heard of. This had me thinking this past week about how I should make a top 100 fav. movie list for myself...so when I am having the blues again, I can just whip out my list and veg. out.  I compiled a list of 100 of my favorite movies...and after I finished it, I remembered 25+ more movies...so I guess this is going to be 100 movies pt. 1?  Either way, I am sharing it with you - I hope you like it...and if there any not mentioned on the list that I have forgotten PLEASE comment below saying so. ;-p

But first. Below are pics of my favorite leading ladies! You may have noticed that I specifically chose images of these women during the 80's and 90's... two decades that I believe put out some of the greatest movies ever. I not only love these women for their acting abilities, but they are also my go-to's for fashion, hair and make-up inspiration. They are timeless and simply understated. I'm not going to list the names of these women, you should know them on your own! ha! However, there may be one face on here that isn't familiar. The bottom left corner is a pic of Nora Ephron, one of the best writers and directors to have ever lived! I love her vibe, her aesthetic, and her humor... this is incredibly odd...but it is weird to miss someone you've never met? :/ Because I miss her. One of my dreams/goals that started when I was 18 was to meet Nora Ephron... and when she passed away from Leukemia a few years ago...I cried. :[  Watch her films, get to know this amazing woman.

Here's the list! I broke it down into 4 categories. I know that tv doesn't count as film...BUT I wanted to add that considering how often I re-watch those programs... the "dudes" category is movies that I think guys wouldn't have an issue watching. My husband watches lots of chick flicks with me, but when he is choosing...that category most likely isn't on his radar. ;)
